About

The Swiss Cytometry Society has been founded in the 1990ies as a scientific association with the aim of creating a network and a platform for diagnostic laboratories and research groups in Switzerland interested in this technology and its applications.
More recently, the Swiss Cytometry Society has shifted its focus on clinical flow cytometry in Hematology and Immunology.

The society promotes high-level continuing education in this fast moving field and organizes bi-annual meetings attracting technicians, clinicians and scientists involved in clinical flow cytometry. In addition, the society has a program for external quality control by sending out fresh patient material to interested laboratories associated with the SCS. Furthermore, collaborations and projects are initiated and fostered within the society.

The SCS is a not only a platform for scientific topics, but also facilitates networking for its members, creates opportunities to interact with invited faculty, as well as with industrial sponsors.
